Section 01

Getting Started in 60 Seconds

SimpleViewer works out of the box through our managed relay infrastructure—requiring zero router port-forwarding, firewall changes, or relay configuration. Every binary acts as both a Host (accepting incoming connections) and a Viewer (connecting to remote machines).

  1. Download SimpleViewerSetup.exe (installer) or SimpleViewer.exe (portable) on both computers.
  2. Locate the 9-Digit Device ID (XXX XXX XXX) displayed on the target machine's Remote Connect tab.
  3. Enter that 9-digit ID on your viewer machine and authenticate via 1-Click Account, Unattended Password, or Interactive Accept prompt.

Three Connection Authorization Modes

  • Mode A — One-Click Account Binding ("My Computers"): Click Sign in with Google inside the desktop or Android app. Any machine signed into the same account appears automatically in your address book for passwordless 1-click access.
  • Mode B — Temporary or Permanent Unattended Password: Use the rotating 6-character temporary password or configure a permanent Unattended Password in Settings. Verified via salted SHA-256 challenge-response.
  • Mode C — Interactive Accept / Reject Prompt: Leave the password field blank when connecting. The remote user receives a 30-second popup with granular permission checkboxes (Mouse & Keyboard, File Transfer, Clipboard, Audio).

Automate silent deployments or isolated testing profiles using these CLI arguments:

Optional Self-Hosted Relay for Business Subscribers

By default, all SimpleViewer connections are routed automatically through our managed high-speed relay server with end-to-end AES-256-GCM encryption—no relay setup is ever required for standard users.

For Business and Enterprise subscribers who require a dedicated private relay server on their own corporate infrastructure or private cloud, our team provides a tailored self-hosted relay package and pre-configured client builds.

Health & Telemetry Endpoint (/api/health)

Query GET /api/health on any SimpleViewer relay node to inspect real-time online device counts, active binary relay sessions, and SHA-256 checksums of hosted client binaries.
